FIRST DAY ACTIVITIES

The first day we started visiting the director of Valladolid Education Department (Dirección Provincial de Educación de Valladolid) Agustín Sigüenza Molina who kindly welcomed us to the DP study visit and lectured us about the education system in Castilla y León.

After that we moved to the Headquarters of the regional in-service teacher training for languages where we were welcomed by maría Jesús Vallejo, director of the centre and by the teacher trainers working there.

Jesús Rodríguez del Campo, organiser of the study visit, spoke to the participants and said it was an honour and a pleasure to have them there and wished them his best for these five days.

Later, Fco Javier Manzano Mozo, director of the Valladolid Teacher Training Center (CFIE Valladolid) lectured the participants about the Teacher Training Network Structure and Professional Competences Model for Teachers in Castilla y León.

After a coffee break, we continued with a brief lecture of what are the goals of the CFPI, Teacher Training for Languages Centre.

Later on, we went to have lunch to the restaurant of the Regional Education Department Headquarters where we had a great time sharing our experiences.

In the afternoon, the expositions of the participants began. We began at 15:45 and we ended at 19:30. It was great to learn from the participants about their education systems and their teacher training programs.

Finally, the participants returned to the hotel, had dinner together and shared their feelings about this intensive day.
